People often ask me how I came up with the name “Karma”. I have been in this industry for almost 20 years, in that time, I have seen more people who are consistently trying to take care of everyone around them without taking time for themselves. They often come to me totally drained, mentally and physically. My job, as I saw it, was to help them take some time out for themselves. For me to listen; and for them to relax, rejuvenate, recuperate, meditate, or whatever you want to call it…..sometimes, just to cry and be heard. Yes, my job is more than just fixing hair and polishing nails. When I opened Karma, I wanted to create a place where you can come, not be judged or snubbed, and just relax--however you like to do it. I have built a fantastic team, with whom I now consider my family. We have undeniable chemistry, and we all want to create the same feeling for you when you enter. We are building relationships with our clients here. My hope is that you would feel the same about us.

A mother of four boys and a grandmother of 3, Julie’s focus is family. Julie and her husband relocated to the area in 2019 from Chattanooga Tennessee and they love being a part of the community.

Danielle is a Master Stylist with Karma.
I grew up in New York and was captivated by an amazing hairstylist; my mother. You could say that hairstyling is in my blood. I moved to Southern Pines in 2006 and decided to attend the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill in 2008. I was very fortunate to train with some of the most talented stylists via Vidal Sassoon over the last 10 years. I have attended numerous hair cutting courses through the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Seattle Washington, London England, and New York City. I was also extremely lucky to attend the “level 10 blonde” course with Sara Pestella. It should be every hairstylist's ambition to attend her course. I am happily married to my best friend since 2014 and I am the proud mother of our son Luca. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Karma team!!!

Currently, She is dedicated to spreading positive energy and finding opportunities to help others in any way possible. Having a background in painting and the arts, being a cosmetologist has always been something I've wanted to do. After receiving a Bachelor's of Art from Queens College, I returned to school in 2020 to follow my passion of becoming a professional stylist in North Carolina. Having worked with various non for profit mental health organizations, helping people in all aspects of life is something very personal and special to me, and doing hair is no exception. She has over 25 years of experience as a nurse in various specialties as well. Over the past several years, she has trained extensively in care of the skin, healing chronic wounds using collagen stimulation techniques, performing advanced aesthetic treatments and caring for overall skin health. She has a passion for skincare and skin health. She feels natural results are the best results. Jamie is skilled in facial balancing assessment, pairing the right treatment with your aesthetic concern and helping you obtain your aesthetic goals.
